What can you see in Fukuoka? Be warned: attractions are the island's weak side. Almost all of them are rather faceless, many of them do not even deserve attention. There are no beautiful landscapes (like in Halong Bay), or ancient temples and palaces (like in Hue), or mountains (like in the vicinity of Nha Trang). In Fukuoka, everything is much more prosaic. However, even among the insipid attractions, there are some really impressive ones.
Fukuoka's hidden gems
There are several places in Fukuoka that impressed us. If you are tired of standard waterfalls, commercial factories and boring museums - then this is exactly what you need!
Beach with starfish Bãi Rạch Vẹm
We consider Rush Wem to be the best beach in Fukuoka! We advise you to watch it without fail. We hope he will never suffer the fate of Bai Sao. The beach is delightful: crisp white sand, azure water and, most importantly, red starfish. There are hundreds of them in shallow water. And what the sunsets are here!
People come here by bikes and taxis. The road is unpaved, with bumps. There is no infrastructure. There are 4 gazebos and 1 covered pavilion - a former cafe, now it is empty. There is no shadow on the beach. A platform goes into the sea, which leads to a seafood restaurant. Mostly natural rubbish, but there is also plastic - no one cleans up here.
We spent half a day on the Rush Vem beach - we didn't want to leave such beauty. We met the sunset and filmed the area on a drone, and left the last to the sounds of the revived jungle.
Advice: rent a bike or take a taxi to see the sights.
Floating village Rạch Vẹm (Floating village)
We found the village by chance on the MAPS.ME map - there is no information on the Internet. Located at the left end of Rush Vem Beach. Poverty and devastation reign here, but how many picturesque details from the life of the Vietnamese can be seen! Locals come here to eat fresh seafood in floating restaurants.
Another beach with starfish - Bãi Thơm
We were lucky to come to the right side of the Bãi Thơm beach at low tide - and we saw large starfish, corals, nimble crabs and sluggish mollusks. Our surprise knew no bounds, because we knew nothing about the beach. By the way, Cambodia is visible from the coast.
But it is better not to visit the left side of the beach - a very dirty coast.
Port of An Thoi
We advise those who love the romance of ports to come here: nets and tackle, fishing boats and longboats, dried squid and fresh catch. I love ports and everything related to them, to the delight of a puppy.
Safari Park and Winperl
We visited Winperl in Nha Trang - it's great there! The rides are cool. We advise both adults and children. Tourists like safari. We also wanted to go, but it didn't work out. Information about safari in Russian is available on the official website.
The road through the reserve
Rent a bike and ride on free asphalt roads! By the way, there are only two of them so far. It is especially pleasant to drive at dusk, breaking through the humid and suffocating sweet aromas of tropical night flowers.
Popular places in Fukuoka: what to see?
Someone will find these places interesting, but do not rush to criticize us for bias. Everything is learned by comparison: we have traveled almost all over Vietnam, and these sights are boring for us. We didn’t even visit most of them.
Here is a list of famous attractions in Fukuoka, which tourists tired of wallowing on the beach explore:

- factory for the production of fish sauce (Phu Quoc Fish Sauce);

- local history museum Coi Nguon Museum with an observation deck (entrance 20 thousand dong);
- lighthouse and temple;
- Ho Quoc Pagoda;
- night market;
- amusement park Vinpearl Land;
- Ridgeback dog kennel;
- waterfalls Suoi Tranh and Suoi Da Ban (it is better to visit in the rainy season);

- the beaches of Bai Sao and Long Beach.

Night market
Opens from 18:00. Tourists write that you can eat cheap seafood here. Well, we don't know, some city restaurants are cheaper. The market is big: there are clothes, souvenirs, street food, seafood restaurants. We are interested in such places because we can make colorful photos and portraits. We tried here sea urchin, local hot dog, mussels, spring rolls and fried ice cream.
Bai Sao
The very-paradise-beach that all advertising brochures shout about. Included in the TOP 5 places to see in Fukuoka. The situation is like with the Nha Tranga Zoklet: you come here for pure white sand and solitude, but you get hell. The southern part of the beach, to which a separate road leads - a landfill. At least a raft can be assembled from the garbage. The well-maintained northern part was occupied by the Vietnamese and Chinese, and all of them, would-be communists, are huddled in the center of the beach. But if you go to the sides, it will be much freer.
Access to the beach is another story. A narrow concrete road leads to it, and everyone - huge sightseeing buses, fussy taxis and nimble bikes - are eager to get to Bai Sao. Vietnamese are very impatient drivers. Can you imagine what's going on?
Of the advantages of Bai Sao: white sand, shallow clear sea, picturesquely leaning palm trees towards the water. At sunset, the sky and the sea are painted in pastel colors.
Long Beach
The beach is like a beach: clean yellow sand, clean sea, well-developed infrastructure. The sunsets are gorgeous.
Suoi Da Ban Waterfall
A torn up dirt road leads to it - we barely drove a bike and soiled our shoes with clay. The waterfall itself is not interesting in the dry season. It is a shady and cool place and Vietnamese people come here for picnics.
