Zheleznovodsk is the smallest resort town in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region. One of the "Lermontov places". The poet visited this place as a child and preserved his memories of him in his drawings and works. In the restaurant of this house, Lermontov met with the participants in the future deadly duel and left here for the place of the duel on Mount Mashuk. Roschke Manor looks like an ordinary country house. It was built in the 19th century by the family of the German immigrant Roschke. The house is the object of the state museum-reserve.
